OK. I am trying to set up CBOX to run an academic commons. I am very familiar with Wordpress, but I don’t know buddypress and I am not a programmer at all in any sense of the word. I need some serious help here. I have figured out how do do the slider, I have adjusted the theme, etc. However, I was under the impression that CBOX would provide a blogging platform for the members as well as a community platform. Unfortunately, I can’t figure out how do install the blogging platform. There is a blog for me as an administrator, but when I log on as a member, there is no blog option on my dashboard. There is only a profile link. How do I get blogs installed for my members? What do I do to make this happen? Please help!!

Hi Michelle, the blogging functionality requires WordPress in network mode.

View this article to find out how to turn on network mode:
        http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network

Once you’re in network mode, you can enable the “Site Tracking” module in BuddyPress:
        http://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/configure-buddypress-components/

When you have the “Site Tracking” module turned on, make sure you have a corresponding page connected to it:
        http://codex.buddypress.org/user/setting-up-a-new-installation/configure-buddypress-components/#settings-buddypress-pages

        Then, turn on site registration:

CBOX has its roots in the CUNY Academic Commons, which in turn was made possible through funding from The City University of New York itself.
