There appears to be some conflict with Jetpack. The contact form field descriptors don’t display in the posts. This was on a multisite install where Jetpack was the first plugin installed.
I have also found that the theme drops some of the formatting: the icons in groups and profiles are replaced by numbers and letters, the background drops + some other anomalies. I have deactivated all the plugins and nothing changes.
