I figured this out and submitted a pull request for a patch at https://github.com/cuny-academic-commons/cbox-theme.
It seems to be a CBOX theme issue, though.
I’ve determined that this is likely a CBOX theme issue: the fields show up properly when I switch to the BP theme “Fruitful” or “Farben Basic.”
Also that’s pretty amazing, how far you’ve come in just 6 years. It’s like WP grad school. You are now Doctor of WordPressology with a dissertation called “BuddyPress: The Hermeneutics of Enabling Community Through Code.”
Dunno by the way Boone if you might also have time to take a look at #post-5635, which is a more serious difficulty with the Custom Profile Filters …
BAM! Fixed!
If he’s not too busy moving back to the midwest. 😉 Yes, the directions on how to use the plugin were very clear — it’s a nice thing to have packaged with CBOX. But it seems to be constructing the query wrong or something.
Whoa, that’s weird. Okay, maybe I just needed to clear my cache! Thanks, sorry.
Hi Scott — I never did have a WP page listed on “Pages” that was called “Wiki”; it was just a custom item in the Menu pointing to vadhconsortium.org/wiki, and before I deactivated the plugin that worked. I figured the page was a special one created in the background.
FWIW, you can do this upgrade through the browser — just go to http://yoursite.org/wp-admin/upgrade.php and it’ll update the database. But I agree, it’s a pain.
