Strange – I can add new topics, forums, groups etc to the site no problems.  If I then change their name, the changes don’t appear.

Some new topic threads also don’t appear if I have added through the dashboard.

Thanks guys, I have updated to latest version…I’ve had a few updating issues not showing frontend – i.e nav/background/fonts etc through the control panel – I’ve had to use custom css.

Did see this conflict with jetpack from a year and a bit ago https://commonsinabox.org/members/kevin/activity/376/

Wondering if this might contribute to the problem?

Hi @Kiki – I tried to recreate the issue.  I went to the backend – made changes the group name, group description, forum topic name, and text, but they all displayed the changes correctly.  So I am not sure.  Maybe try to disable JetPack and see if that fixes your issue.

    Hi @Scott – An update for you…

I have disabled all plugins except for Akismet.  No joy.  I found I could update the background colour, but when I went to update the nav colours, they didn’t take and the background settings disappeared.

Weirder still, I had set some custom CSS in the child theme, and this also disappeared.

I’ve reinstalled CBOX and Child Theme.  Interestingly when I save settings in the dashboard I get a ‘x ok’ notification (Screenshot attached)  I’m going to go with CSS in the editor and just save a copy locally.
