We seemed to have fixed the forum issue. It was related to making the forum hidden. We made it public and it worked fine. Now it is hidden again and it works fine. Strange to me. I am waiting for a bit more explanation from my developer.

It turned out that a plugin did not like the name of the theme folder!

It is bbpress forums plugin that is the problem.

Sorry to confuse you.

I increased my plan so there is no longer a memory issue.

The buddypress pages are still blank when then the bbpress forums plugin is enabled.

I deactivated CBOX and deleted it.

Then I reinstalled and it loaded with the bbpress forum deactivated (which is how it was set to stop the error). I then updated bbpress forum and thus reinstalled it as per the instructions from the bbpress forum. The error started again.

I am not using the CBOX theme. I do have all of the CBOX plugins activated. I am also using a third party plugin for sign up integration.

I have opened my commons to my community. Already have four and perhaps six members. Soon to be many more.

Is there a setting to automatically send them into a group when they register?

Since I am using a third party plugin for registration I need to disable the user’s ability to change their password from the profile page.

There is an option in the buddypress components to stop this but unfortunately it also disables their notification settings (even though there is a separate component just for notification…[Read more]

Thanks so much. I just figured out the problem. For some reason my permalinks had a weird addition in the custom box – it included “index.php/post” and the name of those pages was after the slash. I fixed it. Things are looking good now.

I created one new group. It does not show up under the groups tab but when I view that group’s page it does show that it is linked to groups.

Am I missing a setting or did I do something wrong?
